Wanted: New Music

Quality Beats
It's been quite some time since I've heard some new music and I'm getting restless. The last full album I've listened to was Come Around Sundown by Kings of Leon which was not too shabby. But considering I got the album a month or two ago, I've got this void that needs to be filled! Blame it on the IPhone. Maybe I'll blame it on the fact that Coach banned Steve Jobs from having an influence on our rowing season?
The only thing I've been excited for music wise the last couple of weeks has been the announcement of the DMB Caravan! Sounds like a sick party bus right? Well, it's better than that. First of all. Dave is playing in 2011 despite prior announcements that the entire band was taking the year off. I guess I should have expected this from the band that had its final tour date set for Wrigley Field last September and then pulled a Fall Tour up out of no where.
Long story short it's a deadly combination. DMB in Atlantic City for 3 Days...(and the concert is being held at an old airport.) That's some guitar hero sh*t if you ask me. Pretty damn cool. So grab your friends and head on down to AC June 24th-26th. Should be a good time!

Check out the lineup for anyone else you may know...OAR is a nice little addition for me and Dave and Tim acoustic set is something I thought I would have to go to Vegas for at some point! Success

Moving On

The Chin Strap is Gone

Back to looking like a high schooler and
getting carded when buying lotto tickets!

On a side note...I had that thing since August. I'd say that's pretty damn awesome of me to have the will power and energy to maintain that glorious strap. That's almost 8 months! Gimme some credit. Half the freshman on campus haven't seen a good 33% of my face. It's like Christmas in March....You're welcome...

Happy 15th Birthday Tawney!

Too cool

Neon's aren't made to shift like other cars

My car isn't normal. A splash of water can change any trip to red mango into a nightmare. Last week it snowed and rained like every day pretty much and my Neon threw a fit because it didn't like the weather. (That means my transmission stops working and I can't get out of 1st gear) When it cleared up over the weekend, my Neon was wrapped in all that lovey sunshine double rainbow mumbo jumbo and my "check engine" light went off, much to my enjoyment.

Hell Round 2 was last night after watching Iona crush Manhattan (which they damn well should have). Driving back on Eastchester heading to Pelhamdale it was raining slightly. It was too dark to see but I hit this huge pothole filled with water. Must have been crazy deep because it sounded like someone took a Louisville Slugger to my car. It was gut wrenching. I prayed for an instant and quietly strained my eyes at the blank dashboard where the engine light is. Rubbing my rabbits foot, crossing my fingers, Hoping, wishing...All the above. 3 seconds later, the engine light comes on and I'm stuck in 1st gear cruising around New Ro. There is no hope.

"Abandon all hope, ye who enter here"...Should be written on the door of my Neon

5 bucks if you get the reference

A Burger for the Ages!

Michelle took me out to this place she went with her co-workers for our 1 year last week. Good thing she knows there is nothing better than a juicy burger! Gotta give it to a girl who was a vegetarian up until this summer (eats chicken only now) taking the ol' ball and chain out to a Meat filled Man Burger Bar Meat restaurant. We coulda done that whole Italian dinner with wine and whatnot but this was much more delicious! 2 Thumbs Up and grinning from ear to ear.

Moral of the story. I got the Entourage Burger which is a meaty 10 oz burger in between 2 Grilled cheeses! Praise the heavens! I know Friendly's had a similar burger but I never got around to trying it. This thing was amazing. Top 3 burgers I've ever had. The only other burger I think I can readily throw into my top 3 would be the Double Burger from Shake Shack in the city/Citi Field.

Oh, and the fries came in a little mini deep fryer basket. Too Cool. Too Cool. Burgers sat around anywhere from $12-$15 but they are worth every dollar. And for those classy individuals, they have $2 Pabst Tall boys to accompany your sandwich. No big...

Well This Sucks...

There seems to be a trend with New England teams falling short these days. Patriots lost last night to the F*$%# Jets of all teams. The Celtics lost to the Lakers in the Finals last year. Pats lost in the first round to the Ravens last year. Sox have looked like shit. I'll even go as far back as the Giants beating the Pats in the Superbowl but the Celts did take care of business that year. Just a lot of disappointment. Maybe the Celtics can cheer me up...or the Bruins for that matter. They've been looking good as of late.

So for now, life sucks. Let's Go Packers! My brother would be proud...

Song of the Day

A friend got me to listen to the album and I couldn't be more impressed by it. Check it out

New England

I live in Massachusetts. Massachusetts is in an elite club called New England. Crazy right? Being smack dab in the middle I want to call on a few points and determine just which states are better than the others.

1. New Hampshire
Pro's - Skiing, Tax Free!, "Live Free or Die" Motto, Awesome camping and hiking, Nice beach even though it has the smallest coastline of any state in the US., Liquor barns!
Con's - cold ass beach water

2. Massachusetts

Pro's -  Die hard sports (Pats, Celts, Bruins, Sox), Six Flags, Sick Accents, Awesome rest stops on 84 and 90
Con's - Western Mass. Totes the awkward turtle in the room

3. Vermont

Pro's -  Some of the best skiing in the Northeast, Maple syrup...duh even though I enjoy Mrs. Buttersworth
Con's - Tough to get around

4. Rhode Island

Pro's - Scenic coast and mansions
Con's - Small as hell

5. Maine

Pro's -  Some pretty elite ski resorts
Con's - It takes forever to drive through

6. Connecticut

Pro's - Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun
Con's - Gives New England a bad name

I'm moving to New Hampshire. Be back later.
